WE FINALLY MET! We had a great chat about your life and goals in our first step, the Introductory Interview. We decided it makes sense for us to work together and it's the right move for us to pursue the next step in our on-boarding process... the 3 Day Assessment. This might be considered the most important part of joining our community. It's here that your Coach For Life will truly get to know how you and your body work together to perform movement tasks, solve problems and demonstrate movement competency & proficiency. In our 3 Day Assessment we cover an unbelievable amount of ground together. You may, in fact, realize that you've never experienced an assessment of your body and it's abilities quite like what we offer in these three sessions. Details about your lifestyle and seemingly unrelated variables that you may have never credited for having any impact on your health, fitness and well-being will likely be uncovered. Our thorough evaluation of your history and current state of health may include (or exclude, if deemed inappropriate by you and your coach)... body measurements and/or reference photos, functional movement screen, joint range of motion testing, work capacity (fitness rating) & strength testing, nutrition consultation & education, self-assessment & goal setting, and more extensive testing or assessment as needed. It's with the detailed results of your 3 Day Assessment that we're able to take an unbiased, objective view of your ability to train safely. Your results offer us the necessary insights to allow for personalized programming as well as a clearer understanding of what your needs are and how we can best help you succeed. By the end of the 3rd session, your assessment will reveal the path that makes the most sense for us to follow in order for you to live your best life. We'll discuss our three different routes for joining our community, then assign the most appropriate option to build your healthy lifestyle and level up your fitness. Our available options will be explained in more detail soon, in upcoming posts, but here is a quick glimpse... Fundamentals 101, On-going Personal Coaching & Independent Training (semi-private), and Group Coaching (group training classes). Coach CI would love to hear from you! How Do My Friends & Family Join? It all starts with a desire to help the ones we love and care about most, in our lives. We want them to be happy and live a great life. We want them to be health, wealthy, and wise ;) …all we want for them is the very best! We, also, know about a great community, of like-minded folks, working hard everyday to be a better version of themselves. A place where we are offered a daily opportunity to grow and develop our character by being challenged physically, mentally… and occasionally… emotionally. A place that encourages mastery of our minds and bodies. A place that encourages virtuosity - doing the common uncommonly well - teaching skill and technique, offering opportunity for practice, trial and error, failure, discovery, and success! This place we cherish, this community, is Mahoney Crossfit. But it’s more than just the facility… or the equipment… or the workouts of the day (WOD)... it’s the people and relationships. Not everybody is deeply connected with everybody, but definitely with somebody, and that somebody is likely a person [or a few people] whom you may never had encountered outside of these walls. That somebody has likely impacted and enriched your life in some significant way. We’ve all experienced it. Now we want other folks to experience it too, but how do we introduce them to all of this? How do we share this idea with others? How do we introduce our loved ones and close friends, the people we want to be surrounded by, to this community? It all starts with a referral. Tell your coach about this person, these people. Share their contact information or give them your coach’s contact info. Our first step is to schedule a free introductory interview. (which you can attend with them...we actually encourage it!) We refer to this first meeting as an “interview” because it’s all about getting to know them and allowing them to get to know us. We want to find out is we are a “right fit” before they ever commit to anything. We want to ensure we can provide them with the knowledge they seek and the experience they want. If not, we want them to know that up front. We know we are not right for everyone and cannot meet everyone’s goals. They need to know that too, so we ask a lot of questions and give a lot of answers to their questions. It usually takes 30 minutes to an hour. Our expectation is that by the end of our meeting together they are comfortable giving a solid “YES” and are ready to get enrolled! Anything else is likely a “No”...at least for now... (Of course, we'll always be here for you when you're ready!)
